Two police officers from Johor have been remanded until 5 August 2025 following their arrest on allegations of accepting RM635,000 (US$134,000) in bribes. The officers, both in their 40s, were detained after giving statements at the Johor MACC office. Magistrate Mohammad Izham Mohd Aliyas approved the remand application, enabling investigators to probe the alleged protection racket further.
