PariPesa has become Olympique de Marseille’s Regional Africa Partner, launching a new collaboration focused on digital engagement, fan experiences and strengthening the French club’s connection with football supporters across the continent.
PariPesa has entered into a new partnership with Olympique de Marseille, becoming the French football club’s Regional Africa Partner in a deal designed to deepen the relationship between the iconic Ligue 1 side and its growing African fanbase.
The agreement brings together two brands with a shared interest in football and a strong focus on African audiences. Through the partnership, PariPesa and Marseille are expected to develop a range of activities aimed at bringing supporters closer to the club through digital content, fan activations and exclusive experiences.
A Strategic Partnership for the African Market
The agreement represents another step in Olympique de Marseille’s long-term strategy of strengthening its presence across Africa.
Marseille has historically maintained strong links with the continent, particularly through its African players and supporters. The club has previously developed initiatives such as OM Africa, a programme created to bring together its supporters across the continent through dedicated content, events, fan zones and other activities.
The new relationship with PariPesa provides an additional platform for the club to engage African audiences through a commercial partner with an established interest in the region.
For PariPesa, the partnership offers an opportunity to associate its brand with one of France’s most recognised football clubs while developing new ways to interact with supporters in African markets.
Digital Content and Fan Engagement
A key component of the partnership will be the creation of co-branded digital content.
The collaboration is expected to give African supporters access to football-related content and experiences connected to Olympique de Marseille. Fan competitions, giveaways and exclusive opportunities are also part of the wider engagement strategy surrounding the partnership.
Such activities can help create a stronger connection between international football clubs and supporters who follow European football from outside the clubs’ home markets.
For Marseille, Africa represents an important part of its international supporter base. The club has previously highlighted the strength of its relationship with African football fans and has used dedicated programmes to develop that connection.
PariPesa Expands Its Football Strategy
The partnership also forms part of PariPesa’s broader strategy of building visibility through football.
By partnering with Olympique de Marseille, the brand gains access to the club’s international profile and its established community of supporters across African markets.
The agreement is particularly significant because football remains one of the strongest channels for sports brands seeking to build recognition and engagement across the continent. Partnerships with major European clubs can provide brands with opportunities to combine digital campaigns, football content and supporter-focused experiences.
PariPesa Africa Chief Commercial Officer Jonathan Namasiku highlighted the importance of the collaboration, while Olympique de Marseille General Manager Alban Juster also welcomed the agreement as an opportunity to strengthen the club’s connection with African audiences.
The partnership also fits into PariPesa’s wider football positioning, which has included working with high-profile football personalities such as former Ivory Coast international Yaya Touré.
Strengthening Marseille’s African Connection
For Olympique de Marseille, the partnership goes beyond traditional commercial visibility.
The club has spent years developing its relationship with African supporters, with its OM Africa initiative previously covering countries including Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal and Cameroon. The programme was designed around the idea of bringing supporters together through football, exclusive events, digital content and other fan-focused activities.
The PariPesa agreement provides another avenue through which Marseille can build on that existing foundation.
The collaboration is expected to create opportunities for supporters to interact with the club in new ways while giving PariPesa greater visibility among football audiences across the continent.
A Growing Role for Football Partnerships
The agreement between PariPesa and Olympique de Marseille highlights the increasing importance of Africa within the international commercial strategies of major football clubs.
As European teams continue to develop global audiences, partnerships tailored to specific regions allow clubs and brands to create campaigns that are more closely aligned with local supporters.
For PariPesa and Marseille, the new agreement combines football, digital engagement and African market development.
As the partnership progresses, its success will depend on the ability of both organisations to deliver meaningful experiences for supporters while building a stronger and more sustained connection between Olympique de Marseille and its African audience.
Ultimately, the collaboration positions PariPesa alongside one of European football’s most recognisable clubs and gives Marseille another platform to strengthen its already established relationship with fans across Africa.
