Flutter Entertainment’s UK and Ireland teams are ramping up their philanthropic efforts for 2025, setting an ambitious goal to raise over £375,000 for two meaningful causes: Pancreatic Cancer UK and the National Maternity Hospital Foundation in Dublin. This campaign follows a record-breaking 2024, where the company raised £375,000 for Cure Leukemia.
Honoring a Colleague’s Legacy
Flutter’s UK brands—including Sky Betting & Gaming, Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola, and PokerStars—have chosen Pancreatic Cancer UK as their Charity of the Year.
The selection carries emotional significance, made in memory of James Blackburn, a long-time Sky Betting & Gaming employee who lost his life to pancreatic cancer in 2023. The choice has unified teams across the organization, motivating them to make a difference in the fight against one of the most challenging cancers.
Supporting Maternal and Neonatal Health
In Ireland, Flutter’s headquarters in Dublin will focus their efforts on the National Maternity Hospital Foundation. The foundation supports research and care innovations for women’s and neonatal health, with a strong track record of life-saving work. Flutter employees in Ireland previously raised €700,000 over two years for local health-related charities.
A Year of Action
The fundraising campaign includes a range of employee-led initiatives, from sponsored runs and community volunteer days to office pop-up events and charity balls in Leeds and Dublin. These activities are not only about raising money but also about fostering employee engagement and community impact.
Steve Birch, Chief Commercial Officer at Sky Betting & Gaming and tombola, said the response to the 2025 campaign has been overwhelming: “The passion and unity our colleagues have shown this year is truly moving. It’s a cause that means a lot to us.”
Flutter’s commitment to social responsibility continues to deepen, reflecting the company’s strategy of giving back through impactful local partnerships.
