European content supplier builds on Ontario success with landmark U.S. launch
Octoplay Makes U.S. Debut in New Jersey with BetMGM
Octoplay, a rising star in the global iGaming supply space, has officially launched its games portfolio with BetMGM in New Jersey, marking its long-anticipated debut in the United States. This development follows a previously successful partnership between the two companies in Ontario, where Octoplay’s Jackpot Blitz progressive system was introduced in collaboration with BetMGM.
This U.S. launch signifies a major commercial milestone for the Malta-headquartered supplier, which has been steadily gaining traction across regulated markets in Europe. The New Jersey rollout not only showcases Octoplay’s readiness for U.S. regulatory compliance but also underlines its broader international ambitions.
Licensing Footprint and Dual-Region Strategy
Octoplay has carved out a strong presence in Europe, holding active licenses in ten key markets, including the UK, Sweden, Malta, the Netherlands, and more recently Denmark, through its collaboration with Danske Spil. Its entry into North America follows provisional licenses granted in Michigan and New Jersey, key early-adopter states for online gambling in the U.S.
Ralitsa Georgieva, Director of Business Development at Octoplay, described the New Jersey integration as a “key strategic move”, aligning with the company’s vision to simultaneously saturate European markets and penetrate North America’s regulatory landscape.
VP of Gaming at BetMGM, Oliver Bartlett, noted that based on the strong performance of Octoplay’s content in Ontario, there are high expectations for user engagement in New Jersey.
Global Expansion Backed by Rapid Integration Model
As of mid-2025, Octoplay reports an average of five new operator integrations per month, with more than 80 operator agreements signed globally. This impressive pace is reflective of a scalable infrastructure and a business model designed for rapid regulatory adaptation.
Notable recent deals include integrations with Svenska Spel in Sweden, Jacks.nl in the Netherlands, and Rank Group in the UK. These partnerships validate Octoplay’s approach of working with both national operators and top-tier private brands.
Outlook: Preparing for Deeper U.S. Penetration
With the New Jersey launch complete and Michigan on the horizon, Octoplay appears well-positioned to expand across other U.S. states as they open to regulated online casino content. The company’s dual-regional focus—Europe for volume, North America for growth potential—offers a balanced strategy in an increasingly competitive iGaming landscape.
As U.S. state regulators continue to refine their frameworks for online casino gaming, Octoplay’s existing compliance experience and operational agility could make it a go-to supplier for operators looking to differentiate their content portfolios.
This U.S. debut is more than just a geographic expansion—it’s a signal of Octoplay’s intent to become a global iGaming powerhouse.
