High-tech venue to feature 80-foot LED screen, live VSiN studio, and 113 premium seats
Franklin, Kentucky is set to become home to the state’s largest retail sportsbook as Circa Sports prepares to unveil its new venue at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs. Scheduled to open later this summer, the high-tech facility marks a major milestone in Circa’s national expansion and solidifies its footprint in one of the U.S.’s fastest-growing sports betting markets.
Immersive Viewing Experience with VSiN Integration
The 21+ sportsbook will span over 5,100 square feet and boast an 80-foot-wide LED screen paired with a 31-foot odds board, offering bettors a dynamic, stadium-style viewing atmosphere.
A central feature of the space will be a live broadcast studio for VSiN (Vegas Stats & Information Network), bringing bettors live programming and expert analysis throughout the day. The Las Vegas-based media brand, owned by DraftKings, is known for offering deep-dive betting content across NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and college sports.
“We’re creating a high-tech betting destination that will bring a new level of live-viewing excitement,” said Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens.
“After operating in Kentucky for a year, introducing a sportsbook of this calibre is a major achievement for us.”
Betting Stations, Accessibility, and Premium Seating
The venue will include five manned betting stations, including one ADA-accessible option, as well as four self-service kiosks. Three of these kiosks will be placed inside The Mint’s main casino, ensuring convenient access for both seasoned and casual bettors.
Seating will accommodate over 113 guests, featuring a mix of luxury recliners, stadium-style seating, and booth-style arrangements, tailored for both solo viewing and group experiences.
Strategic Location and Market Timing
Circa Sports’ decision to invest in a physical sportsbook comes as Kentucky continues to post strong betting figures. May 2025 saw a record $349 million handle, largely driven by Kentucky Derby wagering, showcasing the state’s growing appetite for regulated sports betting.
The Mint Kentucky Downs is located near the Tennessee border, which adds an additional draw for bettors in the Nashville metro area—an audience Stevens mentioned is already showing “tremendous excitement.”
Circa’s Broader U.S. Presence
Since launching in Nevada in 2019, Circa Sports has steadily expanded to five states: Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, and now Kentucky. The brand is known for offering sharp odds, competitive limits, and professional-friendly platforms—traits that have differentiated it from larger sportsbook operators.
Looking Ahead
With this venue, Circa aims to not just keep pace with the booming U.S. betting industry but set a new standard for retail sportsbooks in emerging markets. As states continue to legalize and refine betting regulations, Circa’s model of high-end, media-integrated, in-person betting hubs could become a blueprint for the industry’s next phase.
