Move aims to create jobs and support global gaming operations from Taguig City
Fanatics, a fast-growing U.S.-based digital sports platform and gaming operator, has expanded internationally by launching operations in the Philippines through a strategic partnership with Claymore Solutions, a Manila-based business process outsourcing (BPO) firm specializing in support services for the global gaming industry.
The newly established Special Class BPO hub, located in Taguig City, is designed to serve as a back-office powerhouse for internationally licensed gaming operators. The venture focuses on regulatory compliance, responsible operations, and crucially, job creation in the wake of a major employment gap created by recent government policy shifts.
Targeting Recovery After POGO Phase-Out
The Philippine government’s decision to phase out the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) licensing regime has displaced more than 40,000 local workers previously employed by gaming-related firms.
Claymore Solutions, founded in 2023 by gaming industry veterans Paul Fox and Nathan Kinsella, was created with the mission to fill that vacuum—offering long-term employment in regulated and ethical gaming support services.
According to Fox, who serves as Chairman and Co-Founder:
“Claymore will deliver thousands of high-quality jobs to Filipinos by supporting the growth of reputable gaming operators worldwide.”
He also acknowledged the backing of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and PAGCOR Chairman Al Tengco, crediting their efforts in positioning the Philippines as a respected hub for regulated iGaming support.
Full-Service BPO for the Gaming Sector
Unlike traditional iGaming operators, Claymore does not handle betting transactions or player funds. Instead, the company provides back-office services including human resources, payroll, customer service, office management, and optional recruitment solutions—either through in-house teams or direct client control.
This structure allows global operators like Fanatics to focus on their core markets while ensuring high compliance standards and operational efficiency offshore.
Fanatics Eyes Global Reach
Founded in 2021, Fanatics has largely focused on aggressive U.S. expansion, recently launching its sportsbook in New York, one of three rapid state rollouts in a single week.
Its entry into the Philippines indicates a maturing global strategy, with an eye on building scalable, international support infrastructures that align with the increasing regulatory scrutiny in global gaming markets.
As regulatory bodies worldwide tighten compliance requirements, the Fanatics–Claymore collaboration represents a forward-thinking approach to sustainable growth—anchored in job creation, ethical outsourcing, and the Philippines’ reputation as a reliable destination for global business support.
