YouTuber Saad Rehman reflects on arrest, vows to cooperate fully as money laundering case continues
Pakistani YouTuber Saad Rehman, popularly known as Ducky Bhai, has publicly apologized following his release on bail in an ongoing investigation connected to online gambling apps and alleged money laundering activities. The apology came through a video uploaded to his official YouTube channel, where he addressed his audience for the first time since his arrest. The development was reported by Daily Pakistan.
In the nearly emotional address, Rehman began by stating that his intention was not to challenge or justify the First Information Report (FIR) lodged against him. Instead, he offered an apology to viewers and the wider public, saying he was deeply sorry if any of his videos had unintentionally encouraged harmful behaviour or left a negative impression on the audience.
Rehman explained that his content has always been centred around entertainment, humour, and creativity, but acknowledged that creators must take responsibility for the influence they hold. He emphasised that if any of his work contributed to misunderstandings or negative outcomes, he genuinely regretted it.
The YouTuber also spoke about the legal case, confirming that he plans to follow the judicial process until its conclusion. He stated that he has full faith in the court system and will accept whatever decision the judge ultimately makes. Rehman assured viewers that he is cooperating completely with investigators and intends to remain transparent throughout the proceedings.
Reflecting on the events that led to his arrest, Rehman described the experience as a shocking and challenging period for him and his family. He recounted that on 16 August he had attended a family gathering and was preparing for an international trip. However, while departing from Lahore Airport the next day, authorities detained him unexpectedly and informed him of allegations linking him to online gambling platforms.
The Lahore High Court later granted him bail on 26 November, setting the amount at PKR 1 million (US$3.6k), which cleared the way for his release.
Rehman said the past three and a half months have been mentally and emotionally taxing but have also given him time to reflect on responsibility, influence, and the power of digital content. He thanked his supporters for standing by him and committed to cooperating with authorities until the case reaches its final verdict.
